WHAT IS THC-A?

THC-A, short for tetrahydrocannabinolic-acid, is one of many different phyto-cannabinoids that are found in hemp plants and raw cannabis. THC-A does not deliver any type of euphoric effects when ingested raw. THC-A converts into THC when exposed to heat (also called decarboxylation), whether it’s by burning, vaping or baking. This will ensure proper attachment to CB1 and CB2 receptors in the brain and body and will provide the chill effects THC is known to offer. It also transforms when aged or exposed to light for long periods of time. THC-A is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid until converted to THC.
